2014 Review – my top 100 wedding photographs!

I was delighted to wake up this morning to find I’d received another award from the ISPWP for this black and white photograph I’d taken during a wedding at Priston Mill, near Bath in Somerset. It was actually shot in-between the couples night time creative portrait shoot. Guests had gathered around and were having fun…

Today I was privileged to photograph a visit by the Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Nicholas Carter KCB, CBE, DSO, ADC Gen. to Force Troops HQ in Wiltshire. Fun fact of the day… ‘CGS’ and I share the same birthday!

On a frightfully cold night I made a little hot circle of lurve with these two at Coombe Lodge, Blagdon. The beautiful archway of fairy lights was too much of a draw, and I managed to line up on of the little lights over Leonie & Rich, giving them this beautiful halo of light.

I’ve now been awake all night frantically trying to rebuild my website and email on a new server – exhausted and angry. Then there was a knock at the door… a courier… As if they somehow knew I needed a pick-me-up, my wonderful clients Anna & Rich had sent me a gorgeous box of Brownies!…

I am delighted that The Roman Baths (Pump Rooms) have selected my photograph from Kate & Steph’s gorgeous evening wedding to promote wedding ceremony’s at the Baths. It really is a very special place to tie the knot; romantic, stunningly beautiful and packed with history. I’m so pleased I’ll be returning this year to photograph another wedding…

Getting close to capture emotion during a wedding isn’t as easy as it might seem. People are generally ‘exposed and vulnerable’ when they show their emotions and it’s a real privilege to be trusted enough to enter their world and be allowed to photograph these moments.
