Bath Guildhall Wedding | Gloucestershire Farm Reception

I’m excited to present highlights from Emma & Jack’s amazing Summer wedding at the Bath Guildhall, followed by their wedding reception at the family’s working farm in Gloucestershire.

It was a beautifully crisp Summers morning in Bath. You know the kind; intense blue skies and the touch of warm sunshine on your skin. The smell of morning coffee shops filled the air as I made our way to join Emma and her family, getting ready just a stone’s throw from the center of Bath in a gorgeous Georgian townhouse. There was an calm and comfortable air as they laughed, joked and hugged their way through ‘hair and makeup’, munching on piles of strawberries accompanying their champagne (with some yummy soft window light for us to enjoy!). After dragging her little brother out of bed, her mum wrapped a tie around him and the transformation was complete. A quick change in to her wedding dress, a hug for Mum, a glance in the mirror and Emma was ‘wedding ready’!

There is something special about Bath in Summertime, when the sunlight hits the Bath stone it turns a warm golden colour which just makes you feel good inside. And Bath Guildhall did not disappoint – looking spectacular in the sunshine against that azure sky.

‘The Alkmaar’, a former court room inside Bath Guildhall provided an incredible setting for their civil wedding ceremony, and the public gallery was filled with love from their friends and family. With confetti thrown it was off to Woodcock Farm, the family pad, in Gloucestershire for their wedding reception. As a working farm, where better to hold their fabulous wedding breakfast than in a barn! Transformed with rural decorations they served the most delicious lamb cooked over an open fire, courtesy of those amazing chefs at Field to Fire. The warm evening drew in whilst their guests sat on hay bales watching the sun go down, or enjoyed endless games of ‘giant jenga’ and boules, with the family’s little dogs meandering from person to person for attention. I must extend a big thank you to Jack’s brother, Rory, for his help corralling his prize winning cockerel around for me to capture the (now famous) “chicken photo“!
