Monkeying around at a wedding – Coombe Lodge, Blagdon

Getting close to capture emotion during a wedding isn’t as easy as it might seem. People are generally ‘exposed and vulnerable’ when they show their emotions and it’s a real privilege to be trusted enough to enter their world and be allowed to photograph these moments. These two lovely bridesmaids were sitting watching the wedding…

On a frightfully cold night I made a little hot circle of lurve with these two at Coombe Lodge, Blagdon. The beautiful archway of fairy lights was too much of a draw, and I managed to line up on of the little lights over Leonie & Rich, giving them this beautiful halo of light.

Magda & Ben’s fantastic wedding at Homewood Park near Bath was made even more awesome after Ben’s rendition of Beyoncé’s ‘all the single ladies’, following their first dance! He then grabbed his new Grandmother and threw some shapes with her in his arms. Just fantastic fun!

I’ve now been awake all night frantically trying to rebuild my website and email on a new server – exhausted and angry. Then there was a knock at the door… a courier… As if they somehow knew I needed a pick-me-up, my wonderful clients Anna & Rich had sent me a gorgeous box of Brownies!…
