So I’m sitting at my computer tonight listening to the Last of the Mohicans Soundtrack (it’s my latest ‘wedding complete’ victory music), and my dog just gave me an cursory sideways glance as he sauntered out of the room. I chatted to him as I’ve worked my way through this amazing wedding and I think he’s heard enough. Have I taken it too far? Possibly, but I’m finally happy… at last. It’s been one of ‘those’ weddings, the ones I just couldn’t seem to let go of. For all the right reasons of course!
So I’m delighted to say it’s finally here. Laura & James’ wedding at the Folly Farm Centre. Two TV pros tying the knot with a guest list of close family and production creatives. The stage was set in the outdoors with their ceremony looking over the stunning scenery of the Chew Valley, and afterwards in the Oak Room at Folly Farm – full to the brim with love and partying.
Did I feel pressure from all of those creative professionals? Not a bit! They really are the loveliest couple – the sort of warm, genuine and insanely funny people whose wedding I just didn’t want to leave! A lovely mention in James’ speech with the words “no one ever thanks the cameraman”, was really touching and greatly appreciated – cheers James. For someone who much like myself, is somewhat happier behind a lens than in front of it, professional cameraman, James, and his beautiful wife Laura absolutely aced their wedding day and I was humbled and privileged to join them to capture their story. Oh, and the ‘Daddy / Daughter dance’ was the most epic I’ve seen in ten years… just sayin’.
Though having said that, the ‘creative pressure’ chased me a little as I rejected their edits three times before finally accepting the final draft of their day to send them both! Did I cry putting their highlights slideshow together? Of course I did.
And then ‘suddenly’ they were married! I’m delighted to present highlights from Laura & James’ beautiful countryside wedding at the Folly Farm Centre in Somerset. Enjoy, Rich x

A big thank you to my friend and awesome photographer, Kerry James, for her help on the day. Cheers to Stella and the staff at Folly Farm for their back-stage support. Laura’s awesome wedding dress was from Candy Anthony in London, with her stunning wedding flowers courtesy of the lovely Emma Norton Wedding & Event Flowers. Laura and her bridesmaids’ hair was by Stacey Jade Hair. And I’m taking full credit for fixing the wireless PA system.
