Tower Hill Barns Wedding Photographer in Wrexham
Getting married in the beautiful Welsh countryside, surrounded by all your favourite people – living the dream, right? The rustic charm and versatility of this venue make it the ideal place to capture relaxed documentary shots, as you enjoy your day and soak up the atmosphere. As a Tower Hill Barns wedding photographer in Wrexham, I also like to make the most of some of the stunning views to create award winning wedding photos with an epic backdrop!
Weddings at Tower Hill Barns in Wrexham
You can have your ceremony outdoors under the historic railway arch, which has been expertly restored to create a unique space with real wow factor. 100 guests can sit under the oak-beamed gazebo, surrounded by scented planters ready to watch you say “I DO!”, there’s even space for up to 50 more people on the decking.
On your big day, the brilliant team who take care of weddings at Tower Hill Barns will take care of everything, nothing is too much trouble and everyone is super friendly – it’s one of those places where they treat everyone like family and it really makes a difference.
Or indoors, there’s The Old Barn, an impressive stone building dating back to the 1700s. As a Tower Hill Barns wedding photographer, I always notice the special little details that have been added to make the venue even more magical. The neighbouring Farm House is the ideal place to get ready, before making the walk to wherever you choose to have your ceremony, it’s bright but cosy and gives you somewhere to have a few quiet moments before the fun begins!
Tower Hill Barns Wedding Photography – Nome & MJ
Nome and MJ invited me to join them as their Tower Hill Barns wedding photographer in Wrexham after an awesome mutual friend sent them my way (thanks Sally!). The couple met on an adventure in Japan with ‘Love Her Wild’, a Women’s Adventure Community, living in different timezones until quite a while after their wedding, but it was always meant to be!
They planned their wedding during the pandemic, so met a lot of their suppliers virtually. Once they’d looked around the venue, they felt it ticked all of their boxes – it’s in the countryside, in Wales (where Nome is from), there’s accommodation on site so guests can stay over, indoor and outdoor ceremony options…. it had everything! We had a great chat about their plans and all the opportunities for Tower Hill Barns wedding photos on the day – there are so many little places to explore!
We started the day as they got ready together in the Dressing Room, having their hair and makeup done by Cassie, before heading over to their emotional ceremony under the railway arch in the meadow. The Dressing Room even has its own little decking area overlooking the gorgeous views, so I got a photograph of their outfits hanging up in the sunshine. MJ’s dress came all the way from Malmrose Bridal, in Sandy, Utah USA, and Nome’s suit was from King & Alan Bespoke Tailoring.
Flowers for the day were provided by Emily from Love Field of Dreams, adding a burst of colour to the meadows and valley surrounding Tower Hill Barns. That’s another great thing about getting married there, you can rely on nature to provide you with seasonal colour too.
It was such a beautiful day, full of sunflowers, smiles, and laughter. And CHEESE! In a spectacular choice from the cheese lovers, Nome and MJ opted to have a tower of cheese as their wedding cake, from Liverpool Cheese Company.
Tower Hill Barns wedding photos
The rustic backdrop gave their Tower Hill Barns wedding photography a warm and relaxed vibe that perfectly sums them up as a couple. We explored the grounds after their ceremony and captured some fun group portraits with their friends, as well as a little stroll with just the two of them as newlyweds. One of my favourite shots is of them snuggling under the railway arch, enjoying a moment of calm before heading back to their wedding breakfast.
The oak-framed dining room was decorated with Welsh and American flags, with huge windows flooding the room with light. The couple made all of the bunting themselves and added personal touches to every table. Nome and MJ’s guests had loads of places to relax and chill out during the day, so everyone could get comfortable and catch up at their leisure.
Another reason they’d chosen to get married at Tower Hill Barns was the fact they were able to make their wedding breakfast dreams a reality (and mine too if I’m honest!) with a simple and relaxed burrito bar – YUM!
In the evening, the barn and grounds were lit up with strings of warm glowing bulbs, meaning people could sit outside in the cool of the mild evening. Nome and MJ were super excited that they’d managed to book one of their favourite bands for the evening, Keston Cobblers Club and they got everyone up and dancing!
Sparklers and toasting marshmallows by the fire was an awesome way to complete their celebration, and making sure everyone got the letters the right way around for the sparkler shot proved to be quite hilarious!
Congratulations Nome and MJ, it was an absolute pleasure to join you and capture your wedding at Tower Hill Barns in Wrexham, I loved every minute!
