Hill Garden and Pergola – Hampstead Heath Wedding
Constructed in 1905 and later expanded in 1911 and again in 1925, the Hill Garden and Pergola overlook the West Heath. It was commissioned by Lord Leverhulme as a place to hold extravagant Edwardian garden parties and was designed and built by famous landscape architect Thomas Mawson. This used to be the formal gardens of Hill House, a manor house that has now been demolished. A Hampstead Heath wedding photographer at the Hill Garden and Pergola has so many incredible options for beautiful portraits.
You can have your entire wedding at the Hill Garden and Pergola, enjoying the spectacular setting with your guests. It’s also a great location for a Hampstead Heath wedding photographer to capture portraits for couples who have had their wedding ceremony nearby at North London venues such as Hendon Town Hall.
Hampstead Heath Pergola Wedding
The dreamy faded glamour of this spectacular venue, with a spiral staircase and walkways lined with foliage that grows through and into the structure, gives it a secret garden of London photoshoot feel. Couples can make the most of the long shadows in the late afternoon to enjoy a walk around the wedding pergola for their portraits. I love having the opportunity to photograph couples in spectacular gardens, the architecture and the landscapes really allow me to be creative with portraits and play with light, shadow and colour.
