Ragley Hall Wedding Photographer
Ragley Hall is a luxurious 17th Century Palladian stately home on a grand scale, packed with opulent decor and decadent details that will WOW your guests. This exclusive venue in the Warwickshire countryside, surrounded by 450 acres of parkland has all the ingredients for a fairy-tale wedding, and as a Ragley Hall wedding photographer I love capturing everything this place has to offer.
It’s not just about how the venue looks, the service here is world-class too, Cathie and the team run Ragley Hall weddings with precision and care, like absolute superstars! Throughout the day you are surrounded by ornate decoration in paintings and sculptures, as well as intricately carved plaster work and marble columns, the atmospheric library is a must-see too!
The west wing staircase is packed with tropical birds, foliage and animals in a unique mural that extends from floor to ceiling. Softly lit from the arched windows, this is the ideal place to capture some gorgeous and timeless Ragley Hall wedding photography.
Ragley Hall wedding photography and film – Bec and Greg
I joined Bec and Greg on a sunny day in Warwickshire as their Ragley Hall wedding photographer, bringing the whole dream team with me to capture their day in award winning photos and cinematic film. Their ceremony was held at St Nicholas’ Church in Alcester, followed by a luxury wedding reception at Ragley Hall.
For a little sneak preview of their day, check out their cinematic film trailer – warning… it makes us all cry!
They were also joined by their four-legged supermodel, fluffy little Flossy, with her own floral collar made to match the bouquets and buttonholes by Solihull Wedding Creations (more about the fab flowers later!).
Their wedding at Ragley hall was an absolute dream to photograph and film, and the whole team had a brilliant day – we definitely had a few moments of stunned silence (and if you know us, that’s pretty rare!) as we soaked up the sheer scale of the venue.
We chose to capture some group portraits in this beautifully lit area at the bottom of the west wing staircase, and the wedding party seemed to fit in perfectly! The Ragley Hall weddings team were super impressive, working hard throughout to ensure everyone was happy and enjoying the day, Bec had also called in the ultra-organised Amelia Thompson Weddings for some support with the planning, and she absolutely nailed it!
Getting Ready
We started the day with capturing Bec and Greg getting ready, the girls were chatting and laughing (and trying desperately to avoid standing on the train of Bec’s fabulous dress from The Dressing Rooms Bridal) whilst Sonya Jayne Bridal Hair and Jessica Ava Makeup worked their glam magic!
Bec’s entire outfit was amazingly detailed, from the intricate embellishments on her dress and lace train to her pearly Jimmy Choo shoes, and a delicate garter. Not only did she look incredible but she’s also the loveliest, most smiley, ray of human sunshine and she was excited to finally be on her way to marry Greg!
Church wedding ceremony
Greg was waiting patiently at the church and his face lit up as Bec arrived on her Dad’s arm. There were definitely a few happy tears throughout the ceremony as they got married in front of their emotional friends and family.
Reverend Katie Cross made everything super personal for the couple. I love photographing moments of emotion from guests as the couple focus on their vows and each other, they often don’t realise these moments were happening until they see their photos.
ALL the Confetti!
When Bec asked for our advice on how much confetti to order, we recommended ‘ALL of it’, and boy did she take that idea and run with it, with a huge order from Proper Confetti! As they left the church the newlyweds were showered in tonnes of the stuff, which gathered in snowdrifts on the church path – this is how you do confetti – go big, or go home!
Wedding at Ragley Hall
Their wedding reception at Ragley Hall was a decadent mix of luxury details, including stationery from Hunter Gatherings, a beautiful cake from Tutto Apposto which they cut with a bespoke Elliot Sefton knife, and some awesome entertainment. Their drinks reception was accompanied by Sekine Quartet and Sam Wilson Magic who had everyone puzzled and really impressed!
Greg had booked West End Singing Waiters as a surprise for Bec during their wedding breakfast, everyone loved it – Good choice Greg! They’d also arranged a photo booth from Open Booths for the guests to play with in the evening. I can’t wait to share some more of their Ragley Hall wedding photography, including a huge fireworks display, my editing screen is a very exciting place!
Later in the evening, Apollo Anthems Band really got the party going with some nineties and noughties classics. Bec changed into a sparkly strapless Coco+Kate dress and there were some epic moves on the dance floor, with plenty more singing!
I captured the final shot of the night on the steps of Ragley Hall in the headlights of my car, where these party people were taking a break with their evening food from Baldy’s Pies, a bottle of fizz, a borrowed jacket, and possibly some spinning heads… looks like it was a pretty good night for everyone!
This awesome day was SO much fun, with lovely people, jaw-dropping setting and some incredible moments to capture as their Ragley Hall wedding photographer and video team. These are just a few highlights for now, and I can’t wait to share some more!
