Stephanie & Shane’s Beautiful Wedding at Clevedon Hall in Somerset

As a Somerset wedding photographer, I have had the pleasure of capturing some of the most beautiful moments of couples’ special days throughout the county. It was exciting to return to capture Stephanie and Shane’s beautiful wedding at the stunning Clevedon Hall this year, it is certainly up there with the most popular luxury wedding venues in Somerset (I’ve photographed weddings there in every season). You can also check out highlights from my work as a Clevedon Hall wedding photographer for Misra and Sven’s Summer wedding, or perhaps a snowy wedding is on your wish list?

Here are some highlights to enjoy from Stephanie and Shane’s Spring wedding in Somerset,

Venue styling

I arrived early and was greeted by another Stephanie, from Verbena Floral Styling, and WOW had she had been working hard, creating the most beautiful arrangements of minty green flowers, roses, and decorations in the atrium. The subtle tones of the flowers were reflected in the stunning three-tier wedding cake (made by Shane’s talented Mum!), looked absolutely gorgeous against the hand painted walls of the hall. Steph’s Mum had also been busy helping with the planning of the day, and as you can see from the photos the hard work was all worth it!

Getting Ready

After capturing some photographs of the decorative preparations, I joined Stephanie and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite. There was an air of excitement and anticipation as they got ready for the big day. Looking at the beautiful natural window light in the room, I knew I was going to capture some stunning images.

Celeb hairstylist, Andrew Barton was laughing and chatting with us all, whilst adding the finishing touches, he’s known Steph since she was a little girl. He carefully added Steph’s veil and made sure she was ready for a first look with her Dad, who was nervously waiting outside – the anticipation was really building!

Dad’s First Look

Stephanie’s Dad arrived for a “first look,” which was an incredibly emotional moment that I was honored to capture. Her bridesmaids wore full-length lilac dresses, which were the perfect complement to the decor I’d just seen downstairs and framed Stephanie in her stunning wedding dress from Suzanne Neville Bridal.

Wedding Ceremony

The ceremony was officiated by a good friend of the couple, which added a unique and personal touch to their special day. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed drinks on the terrace before a riot of confetti welcomed the newlyweds out into the spring sunshine as husband and wife!

Wedding Reception

For their family and bridal party group portraits, we used the stunning Orangery, which offered the most beautiful natural light and a light, airy feel to the photographs. Once these were in the bag, it was time for the boys to have some fun as they took Shane outside and quite literally threw him around!

One of the highlights of their couple photos was capturing Stephanie on the stairway with the most exquisite double-height stained glass window as the backdrop. It was the perfect setting to showcase her beautiful dress from Suzanne Neville Bridal.

We took a walk together around the landscaped grounds to capture some beautiful Somerset wedding photography, before returning in time for the couple to be announced in to their wedding breakfast.

Wedding Breakfast & Speeches

Their wedding breakfast was laid out in long banqueting tables, which looked gorgeous with all the flowers, foliage and gold details in the plates and cutlery. The speeches were touching and emotional, with both Steph’s Mum and Dad giving heartfelt words of advice, fun, and kindness to the newlyweds.

After cutting their cake (Shane’s Mum really did a brilliant job of making it!), the evening kicked off with an incredible wedding party. With a non-stop soundtrack provided by The Revue and DJ Heldt, almost everybody hit the dance floor, and the celebration was topped off with an amazing firework display which lit up the night sky, complete with “oohs and aahs”.
