Jewish Wedding Photographer London

Joining Natasha and Johnny as their Jewish wedding photographer in Marylebone was the experience of a lifetime – amazing people, a stunning venue, and just THE BEST party ever! We were welcomed like family and immersed in their beautiful, emotional day surrounded by their friends and loved ones – the ideal setting for some epic, award winning wedding photos!

Natasha and Johnny – Jewish wedding photography

I started the day with Natasha’s bridal party, relaxing and chatting together as the brilliant Tamara, Wedding Day MUA worked her magic. They were bathed in gorgeous light from the huge windows of the private home in Marylebone they’d chosen to host their entire wedding day. This was a brilliant plan, as it meant everything was in one place, including the team from New London Synagogue, led by the lovely Rabbi Natasha Mann, bringing their ceremony to their amazing venue. Meanwhile, Johnny was finishing building the Chuppah in the ceremony room,

Natasha and Johnny wanted to have a private first-look moment together before their ceremony, which was really emotional and a wonderful way to start their wedding day together. Natasha wore an elegant Stephanie Allin dress from Morgan Davies Bridal that had been expertly altered by Paul Moreland to fit her perfectly, a beautiful Amanda Lee veil creating a dramatic train behind her.

Tisch and Kabbalat Panim – Jewish wedding photos

As guests began arriving, Natasha and Johnny were greeted by everyone as part of the Tisch and Kabbalat Panim. Natasha sat in a huge chair, surrounded by friends and family at one end of the room, while Johnny was at the other, enjoying songs, stories, and memories with the boys.

To the Chuppah for their Jewish wedding ceremony

Before the ceremony, Johnny and his groomsmen joined Natasha for the Badeken, where Johnny placed Natasha’s veil carefully over her face in a really touching emotional moment, before heading to the Chuppah in the room which has been decorated with beautiful floral and foliage arrangements created by Geraldine Casey.

Led by Rabbi Natasha Mann, their beautiful ceremony was surrounded by love and celebration the whole way through. It’s one of the things I love about being a Jewish wedding photographer, capturing those moments throughout the ceremony for the couple and their family to treasure forever.

Rabbi Natasha blew the Shofar, as the ceremony continued with readings and blessings from their families.

Yichud

After their ceremony, Natasha and Johnny went upstairs for the Yichud, with two of their friends guarding the door, while their guests enjoyed drinks and canapes in the courtyard. I captured a few photographs as they left and then joined them again as they signed their marriage documents with the Rabbi and their witnesses.

Group photo fun

Before dinner, we went for a little walk to Paddington Street Gardens to capture some group photos outside under the trees. I arranged some family group portraits, and some fun with enthusiastic friends and groomsmen throwing Johnny in the air… and Natasha also being launched skyward!

Natasha and Johnny then had a few moments to themselves and I photographed them smiling and relaxing in the shade of the trees in the park, and heading back over to join their wedding reception. They are such fun people to be around and the love between them is really beautiful to see. They are always smiling and laughing together in every moment.

Jewish wedding photos – wedding breakfast

The room had been transformed ready for their wedding breakfast, with long tables adorned with beautiful flowers. The furniture was hired from YA Hire Ltd , and all the tableware was from Whitehouse Crockery – the whole day was coordinated by the brilliantly organised, Cherelle from Perfectly Planned 4 You. There were some lovely speeches, sharing memories of the couple and celebrating their marriage, whilst everyone enjoyed an absolute feast of delicious food from Chef Tom Thornton, who provided the catering and the all-important bar!

Fusion wedding – Tea Ceremony

After their wedding breakfast, Natasha changed into a dress with a very special meaning – it was actually her Mum’s wedding dress, which had been handmade for her by Natasha’s Dad’s Mum! They had a traditional Chinese tea ceremony, where tea is served to the elders of the family, and then to the rest of the family in descending order.

Natasha and Johnny served and drank tea, sharing some more wonderful moments of love, respect, and a real sense of the two families coming together. Then after a few more brilliant speeches (including one from Natasha), they cut their incredible cake, which had been made by Natasha’s Cousin, Jessica Ahkye from Get your Chiffon!

Party time – Let’s dance!

Kicking off their evening party with their INCREDIBLE first dance, an Argentinian Tango, Natasha and Johnny absolutely wowed us all! When I was editing their photographs these ones stopped me in my tracks!

With DJ Alex Wussah on hand to get everyone dancing (a total legend!!), this is where the party really went wild! As a Jewish wedding photographer, I’m used to some pretty hectic dance floors, and this one was simply epic! Natasha and Johnny were lifted up on chairs and blasted with confetti cannons, guests performed acrobatic dance moves, and the boys made some huge gravity-defying leaps over (very trusting) guests – this was one amazing party!

After some late-night snacks (curry puffs and cheese toasties… THE BEST idea ever!) from Old Chang Kee UK, the party escalated to its peak, with shots, shots, and more shots! I left them dancing the night away (after enjoying a shot with them as well… it’d be rude not to!) I think I was hugged by pretty much everyone on the way out, and in truth, I didn’t want to leave! A special mention to my awesome second photographer Woody, and Stu from Confetti and Silk Films who joined me to capture this awesome day!

Congratulations Natasha and Johnny

As if one wedding of epic standards wasn’t enough… Natasha and Johnny are currently on their way to Singapore for round two! Thank you so much for having me, it’s a day I won’t ever forget. You guys are the BEST! Loads of love, and Mazel Tov to you both and your wonderful families x Rich x
