Pilton Tithe Barn Wedding
Beth & Bens Lovely Wedding at the Tithe Barn, Pilton, Somerset
We met up with Bethany and Ben just before their wedding at the Tithe Barn in Pilton, Somerset, overlooking the fields of the Glastonbury Festival. The weather was kind to them with stunning blue skies and we took full advantage shooting their creative/romantic images and formal group photographs. Eager not to miss anything, I then jumped on the vintage bus which was carrying Ben and their family and guests to Oakhill Methodist Church (near Radstock in Somerset).
Beth arrived with her Father in a fantastic yellow Austin Healey Sprite, before making her way on her Dad’s arm up the aisle of a packed church to her waiting Fiance, Ben.
The service was clearly enjoyed by all and included an angelic vocal and guitar version of Stings ‘Fields of Gold’. The ceremony over, we wiped a tear away and headed outside to capture a riot of confetti. Following the ceremony we made our way back to the Tithe Barn and their reception. I always say that happy people ‘make’ a wedding, not the status of the venue or embellishments which help make up the day. On this occasion their reception venue was epic! The vast space of Tithe Barn at Pilton came alive with an enormous Harvest Supper spread which their family and friends had contributed to with home cooked goodies. Huge braziers burned inside the barn keeping everyone warm and adding to the atmosphere.
Beth had very kindly laid on a Harvest Supper for us – such a kind gesture and in the company of such genuinely lovely friends and family we stayed on to photograph the absolutely brilliant ceilidh. The live band, The Jeffesrons, played throughout the evening finishing with the new Mr & Mrs S jigging and reeling with their family and guests.
Congratulations Beth & Ben! A big thank you to everyone who helped us on the day. Enjoy…
