Rain Day Wedding at the Folly Farm Centre

A beautiful winter wedding with holly, fairy lights, log fires, mulled wine, mince pies, candles and ‘The Owls of Pill’ Singers. What more could a wedding photographer at folly farm ask for? Vanessa looked absolutely stunning in a delightful lacy dress with a delicate train. Whilst top hat and tails were the order of the day for the Jamie and his groomsmen. More reminiscent of the Western Front than the stunning outdoor wedding venue which Folly Farm normally presents, the Met Office had issued an ‘amber’ warning for rain. And it poured! Our wet weather plan swung in to action! Lucas from Folly Farm team did a great job of coordinating their wedding, helping us assemble an impromptu photo studio indoors so that we could photograph the ‘formals’ without drowning their guests! With fantastic support from Vanessa and Jamie’s friends and family throughout the day, we made it through, despite being unable to take photographs in the fields and woods surrounding Folly Farm.

Rainy day Wedding Photographer at Folly Farm, Bristol

As the weather let us down on their wedding day, we’ll be returning to Folly Farm in the New Year with Vanessa and Jamie for their creative photo shoot, when we will enjoy capturing some more lovely photographs of them both enjoying the outside of this delightful venue.
