Clevedon Hall Wedding Photographer

This beautiful wedding in the summer sun at Clevedon Hall brought Hollywood glamour to one of the South West’s most impressive venues. This is a venue I feel really lucky to have visited in every season, you can check out some more photos from a Spring wedding at Clevedon Hall on my Somerset wedding photography page, or maybe you want to see what a wedding day snowball fight looks like at a winter wedding?

I joined Misra and Sven as their Clevedon Hall wedding photographer, with my awesome cinematic film crew and second photographer alongside me, to capture some award winning wedding photos and film.

It was a stunning day full of emotion, laughter, and moments of crazy party madness in the evening. These two are unstoppable, so perfectly suited to each other in every way, and they were surrounded by awesome friends and family.

Rich is just amazing. We knew this when we first met him years ago when we got engaged. His talent and professionalism added with his personality makes one hell of a package.

Clevedon Hall never fails to impress me, with a superstar team working hard to make sure everything goes to plan and the most unbelievable views. Being able to get the drone up for some aerial footage is always exciting too, and reveals just how amazing Clevedon Hall weddings look in the surrounding landscape. The local suppliers working at Clevedon Hall are some of the best I’ve worked with in the whole country – I love having this place right on my doorstep!

It felt like we’d been chatting to Misra and Sven for ages, initially meeting up for a chat at a bar on Bristol Harbourside in early 2020, just a few weeks before a certain global pandemic changed life as we knew it. After postponing their original date, we finally got to join them at their wedding in the Summer of 2022 – and WOW it was worth the wait!

My day started with Misra and her bridal party as they got ready together in one of the beautiful suites, with Sophie Cox Make up and hair stylist Able Mabel Designs busy working away creating gorgeous, glamorous looks that would last the whole day. The girls were enjoying snacks and bubbly as they chatted, constantly laughing and having a brilliant time together.

They’d been waiting for such a long time for this day and there was a lot of excitement in the room that the time had finally come for Misra and Sven to get married. Guest of honour, Hunter the Beagle was all dressed and ready for his paw-rents to say I do!

Misra looked incredible in her stunning dress from Made with Love Bridal, and pearl flats from Jimmy Choo, her bridesmaids dressed in vibrant red dresses from Jarlo added a pop of colour to their white wedding day. Misra is originally from Turkey, so the red was also from the flag of her country (and her favourite colour too!). The entire day was luxurious and elegant, it was a pleasure to capture it as their Clevedon Hall wedding photographer.

The team have been absolutely amazing, so friendly, so organised and it’s such a great thing to work with somebody who you never need to email to ask for an update.

Misra and Sven – wedding at clevedon hall

Sven was getting ready at home with the boys, joined by my second photographer, Jamie. This group of guys are such great friends, and throughout the day you could see how pleased they were for their best mate – supporting him all the way… and providing some hilarious speeches later on!! They had a few drinks together on the waterfront before heading up to Clevedon Hall.

Weddings at Clevedon Hall

The brilliant (and lovely) Little Wedding Helper, Kirsten, was busy organising and styling the venue, she’s an absolute magician when it comes to creating gorgeous weddings, and I know Misra was really grateful for her input (every bride that works with Kirsten says they couldn’t have done it without her!).

The flowers had arrived from Daisy Lane Floral, and the bouquets were bursting with fluffy white blooms and delicate green foliage.

Misra and the girls then made their way gracefully across to the outdoor ceremony, this was definitely a movie star moment – how amazing does Misra look in the sunshine?

The aisle had also been decorated with matching flowers and greenery, and Sven was waiting patiently for Misra to arrive. As soon as she appeared, his face lit up, which was really emotional to see.

Having their Clevedon Hall wedding outdoors meant they could enjoy the beautiful, baking sunshine in the formal gardens, and it was certainly a hot day for it! Maxine the Celebrant was ready to do her thing, and marry Misra and Sven under the pergola. They were really keen to have a celebrant rather than a government official, and Maxine brought warmth, personality and lots of smiles to their Clevedon Hall wedding ceremony.

After saying I do, they celebrated by running through an absolute storm of confetti, surrounded by cheers from their excited guests! Then everyone gathered in front of Clevedon Hall for hugs, drinks and of course some important cuddles with Misra and Sven’s gorgeous dog, Hunter (who was wearing his very own tuxedo!)

As the sun was roasting hot, I took some groups inside to capture portraits out of the heat. I used a table to create some interesting height for the groups and everyone had lots of fun helping Misra climb up! I also organised some more informal group shots for the boys in the sunshine.

Their Clevedon Hall wedding reception had been set up in the Orangery, it was flooded with light, surrounded by windows and elegantly decorated in their crisp white colour scheme. Hunter Gatherings had created some gorgeous wedding stationery, and Kirsten the Little Wedding Helper again dusted her magic over styling the whole day to expertly bring everything together.

Misra and Sven had opted for long tables, in an Oktoberfest style, so their friends and family could chat and enjoy a relaxed meal of sharing dishes together. Food was followed by some passionate, entertaining speeches which had everyone laughing seriously hard!

Misra and Sven

It was time for their photos together as a couple, so I took Misra and Sven for a wander around the grounds of Clevedon Hall, making the most of the evening light and golden hour.

Honestly, these two are just so great together, they had lots of fun and in every movement, you could see how connected they were. From spinning Misra around on the lawn (Misra also picked Sven up at one point too!) to snuggling on the steps of the walled garden, they also had a few quiet moments together in the soft window light before heading back to join their guests.

The dramatic plunging back of Misra’s dress was one of the things she loved most about it, so I had sure we captured a photo of her looking absolutely incredible – it was as if the dress had been designed specifically for her!

Cake and a fab first dance

When we returned to the party, Misra and Sven cut their cake. Emma from Bake My Cake had created an elegant, tiered wedding cake, and added a bit of the couple’s personality by including a little beagle figurine of their dog Hunter.

After trying to resist eating an entire layer of the cake (it was SO delicious!) Misra and Sven took to the floor for their first dance. They wowed their guests with a brilliantly choreographed routine, involving some impressive moves and plenty of rhythm! This summed them up perfectly, such a fun-loving pair – they both work hard but they party even harder!

Party time with the Scarletons!

As everyone joined them on the dancefloor, it was time to lift the roof off Clevedon Hall and show the South West how it’s done! Misra changed into a second outfit for the evening, a shorter party dress from Nadine Merabi and heels from Giuseppe Zanotti – when these two party, they mean business!

Rich is super on the ball… remembering all the timings, without losing his sense of humour, creativity and professionalism. He also has excellent crowd control which is necessary on the day.

The wedding band, The Scarletons provided the high-energy soundtrack to the evening. I’ve been to a fair few parties now, and this party was absolutely awesome, with neon headbands, sunglasses, and so much dancing. At one point Sven was carried around the room as everyone partied as if their lives depended on it!

Thank you Misra and Sven!

The whole team loved everything about your wedding day, we had such a great time! It was a really beautiful day, and seeing you finally get married and celebrate with all your amazing friends and family around you was quite emotional – I’m sure we’ll keep in touch… just warn me if we are going out partying as I think I might need to book a few weeks off to recover!!
