LGBTQ Wedding Photographer – Celebrating PRIDE!
Pride month has been a bit different for the second year in a row, but I wanted to celebrate by looking back on some of the awesome LGBTQ+ weddings I have been proud to photograph and be part of. I’m excited to have lots more coming up in the next few years – let’s get ready to party!
LGBTQ Wedding Photographer
I always feel excited and humbled when a couple choose me to be part of their wedding day. I’m 100% rainbow friendly, same sex weddings make up some of the most emotional celebrations I’ve been involved in.
It’s important for couples to feel totally at ease around me, that’s how I capture those important moments in a relaxed documentary style.
I’m so proud to be an ally to the LGBTQ community who have welcomed me to their epic weddings, crazy parties and beautiful intimate moments. I’ve experienced and shared love, laughter and definitely more than a few happy tears and I can’t wait to continue capturing moments and memories for my wonderful couples.
If you are planning your LGBTQ wedding and want to have a chat with an LGBTQ+ friendly wedding photographer I’d be really excited to hear from you, feel free to get in touch here.
Here are just a few highlights with some links for you to check out how awesome each day was in more detail.
Love is Love – and it’s pretty fabulous!
Gay weddings
Matt and Andy’s wedding at Bristol Royal Marriott Hotel was party central! There was a boat trip to the ceremony, tropical plants and rainbow details in the incredible decor and entertainment that had everyone on their feet! A gay wedding I will never forget!
Oli and George’s wedding at Bristol Zoo was a colourful celebration surrounded by some equally vibrant animals. Check out some of the shots that we were so excited to capture on the day.
Showered in rainbow confetti, not only did Oli and George have their family and friends at their wedding, they also had the animals at the zoo with a photo-bombing sea lion and a butterfly landing at the perfect moment all with the beautiful backdrop of Bristol Zoo Gardens.
Tony and Adam’s wedding at the Shard in London was a complete surprise to their guests who thought they were there for a birthday party! An incredible celebration at the top of the tallest building in Northern Europe with spectacular views over London was an amazing way for them to tie the knot! Such a privilege to be there to record their memories.
Matt and Paul (Tony and Adam’s Best Men), later asked me to photograph their own wedding after I got to know them at the Shard. It was great to be reunited with them all again at Matt and Paul’s wedding at Ellenborough Park overlooking Cheltenham racecourse, featuring helicopters, flamingos, an awesome soundtrack and even a sneaky ‘unicorn’.
Capturing Matthew and Nathaniel getting married in Newquay the couple ended up whipping off their shirts and shoes and taking a swim across the harbour together, much to the delight of their guests waiting at the restaurant on the other side for the reception!
Greg & James got hitched in Georgian style at the Assembly Rooms in Bath, enjoying a rocking reception party in the stunning ballroom!
Lesbian Weddings
Sarah and Rebecca’s wedding at Folly Farm was a beautiful and emotional ceremony and reception, made even more special by the pre wedding yoga and handstands.
Steph and Loz got married at Moddershall Oaks followed by a stroll around the beautiful grounds, a gorgeous ‘wedding hammock snuggle moment’ then some impressive dance moves into the night watched over by a kids corner tepee and a light up flamingo!
Gwen and Sarah’s wedding at Sugarloaf Barn in Wales was such a stunning day in the welsh countryside, they arrived at their reception in the bucket of a tractor and we were treated to some mic-dropping speeches and a layered rainbow wedding cake in a real working barn!
D&A married in the Summer sunshine at beautiful Rockley Manor.
